Pursuant to the MOU signed by VTU with Indo-Universal Collaboration for Engineering Education (IUCEE), several measures to improve the quality and global relevance of engineering education through various quality initiatives are to be undertaken. As a part of this mission, VTU has embarked on upskilling and empowering over 1000 faculty members under the ambit of VTU in the next one year through IUCEE International Educators Certification Program (IIECP). IIECP was designed by global experts of IUCEE to address the need for higher education faculty in India to become more effective student-centric teachers.
This Faculty Development Program is designed to enable the participants
- To understand the principles of learner-centric teaching to design/ redesign a course and its elements.
- To emphasize learning outcomes and to develop different teaching and active learning strategies for implementation of these elements.
- To design formative and summative assessment tools and rubrics for outcome assessment.
