Dr. Srinivasan Latha, Asst. Professor, Department of Chemistry, Vellore Institute of Technology, is an Associate Member,  Royal Society of Chemistry, UK. She is passionate about teaching and interacting with her students. Her early career began at School, teaching Science and English which fuelled her  desire for teaching. With 13 years of enriching experience at the TVS Academy, she moved  on to becoming the Principal of a School: building the new organization from the very  beginning to achieving a State Rank in the third year of its establishment. From there, she  moved to Higher Education and has been associated with teaching Chemistry and  Environmental Sciences. She designed the curriculum for Green Chemistry for Undergraduate Chemistry students and introduced a variety of teaching learning methodologies to enhance  their learning experiences. As a teacher trainer, with the Academic Staff College, at VIT, she  brought in ideas for Faculty development programs. She partnered with Professors to scaffold  them to create MOOCs for their subjects. She uses a spectrum of instructional strategies to  inspire her students and has involved students as co-authors in designing and implementing some of these strategies in their courses.

In today’s webinar she emphasises the need for Personal Branding especially for the freshmen  at the Higher Education. The talk would help to identify the purpose of Personal Branding, how to impact one’s life and also contribute to the society through transformation. This session will  showcase the milestones to be benchmarked by the freshmen to identify their career goals  and nurture their thoughts to raise their living standards.
