To develop complex problem-solving skills, the problem or challenge given to learners is one of the main central features of the learning experience. In learner focused approaches such as Problem-based Learning (PBL), well-crafted problems shape the learning environment that spark curiosity, activate prior knowledge, foster ownership of learning, and develop professional competencies. Effective complex problems can prevent students purely copying generative AI outputs and can instead be utilized for enhancing learning. This leads to meaningful attainment of intended learning outcomes. Join this interactive, research-informed webinar to discover: ● characteristics of effective problems, ● practical steps for crafting problems that connect theory to application ● discuss strategies to engage learners and strengthen problem-solving skills. This session offers practical insights to help participants design problems that make learning purposeful and relevant to real-world applications.
