Learn how MathWorks partners with universities and industry to provide a complete platform for AI based teaching and research. See why a focus on research collaboration and support for teaching has enhanced the adoption of AI within the classroom to prepare students to tackle current industry challenges.
In this presentation, we explore how MathWorks tools can:
- Empower domain experts, including ones with limited AI experience, to develop better AI systems
- Build better data sets with domain-specific tools
- Use modeling and simulation to tackle some of the challenges with AI
- Enhance Teaching and Research at Education Institutions

David Willingham is a Senior Product Manager responsible for MATLAB’s Deep Learning Toolbox. David joined MathWorks in 2006, and during this time amassed over 10 years of applied engineering experience supporting a variety of application areas in Artificial Intelligence including Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Statistics, Big Data, Cloud Computing & Predictive Maintenance. David received an Honors degree in Electrical & Computer Systems Engineering from Monash University in 2003.
