Virtual Academy: “Cooperative and Collaborative Learning in Engineering Classrooms”
Tue, Jul 10, 2018 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM IST
Teaching using Cooperative and Collaborative Learning strategies, if used properly, is usually more successful than traditional “lecture-based” teaching. In this webinar we will explore the meaning of the terms “cooperative learning” and “collaborative learning” and their theoretical background. We will also discuss some widely used cooperative and collaborative learning techniques suitable for engineering classes – both face-to-face and online, some potential pitfalls and best practices to overcome them. After the webinar, participants will be well-equipped to successfully employ some of these techniques in their classrooms.
