Currently Director of the intensive English program at Rutgers, Veena Kumar has over 20 years experience of teaching, guiding research, curriculum design in English Language, ESL, and Education Technology in France, India and the USA.

As Professor (Humanities) and Head, Education Technology at the Indian institute of Technology, New Delhi, which is one of the premier technical universities of South-East Asia, Dr. Kumar provided a new direction to the teaching of English language to engineering students. She also supervised the development of over 1,200 hours of instructional materials in Video, CD and Web-based formats. Her major contribution was in design and delivery of faculty development modules.

Dr. Kumar has extensive experience in the e-learning space and worked as Chief Learning Officer with Microland Group, USA and India. With over 15 years of experience in leading large teams, she has led several prestigious educational projects with The World Bank, The European Commission, Ministry of Education (India), The Commonwealth of Learning (Canada) and The British Council.
